DTW Systems has demonstrated particular success in removing varying concentrations of fluoride and from waste streams. The resultant discharge stream is suitable for discharge to sewer, or, given the correct circumstances, is suitable for recycling through a process water treatment system such as Reverse Osmosis, nanofiltration of feed to a DI system.

Demonstrated Results: Fluorine DTW Systems is using a patent pending two-stage reaction system followed by a low-pressure microfiltration membrane system to meet the discharge limits of fluoride. The pretreatment chemistry creates a sludge that is easy to handle with the membrane unit and sludge handling equipment. The sludge has potential resale value as feldspar.
