PLATING SEGREGEATION AND PRETREATMENT

Microfiltration membrane separation offers a unique benefit when compared to conventional clarification techniques. While clarification systems are static designs, requiring consistent contamination loading and flow, membrane systems are dynamic.  Contamination loading can change, waste flows can change and yet, the membrane system will meet discharge requirements consistently and repeatably even when the system starts and stops continuously throughout the day.

DTW systems provides customized solutions for wastewater treatment issues and process filtration improvements using microfiltration, ultrafiltration, and reverse osmosis membrane systems.

DTW Systems has created a solution that economically meets the strict discharge parameters from plating, aerospace, circuit board, mining and battery manufacturing processes. The operation of a membrane system is easy.  There are only four distinct steps: segregation, chemical treatment, filtration and sludge handling.  With over 350 systems designed and installed, we have expertise required to create a system which is customized for your requirements.

CONCENTRATION AND MEMBRANE SYSTEM

DTW Systems solutions do not become obsolete. DTW Systems is excited about every opportunity and looks forward to working with all clients on their wastewater treatment projects. DTW Systems will provide the engineering, manufacturing and service expected to meet current and future water treatment needs.

SUCCESS CRITERIA

LEAD ACID BATTERY WASTE WITH SHOWERS TO REMOVE LEAD

The various protocols define the treatment scheme. Retention time, collection and controls are incorporated to pretreat the various types of waste. Then the pretreated streams are combined and adjusted to make a waste which is compatible with membrane filtration.

CUTTING AND LUBRICANT TREATMENT FOR NICKEL REMOVAL

In order to achieve success, the total chemical handprint of the facility must be evaluated.  If a chemical can get to wastewater, then one must assume that the chemical will get to the treatment area.

Working as a team with the client, DTW Systems defines each specific class of waste and creates a suitable segregation plan.  Cyanide, hexavalent chrome, acids, caustics, chelated metals, floor cleanings – each category of waste has a specific and unique pretreatment protocol.

ETCHING COPPER AND STAINLESS WASTE FOR COPPER, NICKEL AND CHROME REMOVAL

When the chemical pretreatment is correct, the solids will settle as shown in the pictures. This is all that is needed to have a successful waste treatment operation.

DTW Systems will create a specialized chemistry with the assistance Innovative Formulations. These treatment schemes allow lower discharge limits with increased flowrates through the system membranes.
